Fully Healed After Minutes

Adam is a church planter in India who bikes from village to village over rough terrain, smooth paths, forests, and hills. As he travels, he prays for all those he will encounter at the stops along his way. Adam loves to meet new people and tell them about Jesus the son of God that transforms lives. One day, as he bicycled through a forest, he specifically prayed that God would move upon the hearts of the people he would soon visit. When he arrived at his destination, a crowd gathered to hear his message. Afterwards, those listening talked amongst themselves and then sent some people to fetch a young girl who had been paralyzed since birth. Her frail twig-like legs had never fully developed and she was incapable of walking. If your God heals this child, then we will believe He is mighty and can save our souls as well,” said one man who carefully watched Adam’s response. Adam did not shy away from the challenge, but he knew he needed time to fast and pray. He told the people to bring the girl to his village in a few days. They agreed. Adam went home to put together a team of pastors who all began to beseech God for His anointing upon Adam and the young girl’s healing. A few days later, the villagers arrived, and Adam and his team were ready. They fully believed that the Lord would heal the young girl, but they expected it to take days of intercession. To their astonishment, ten minutes into the prayer, the child began to move her legs. Adam and the others prayed more fervently and she asked them to help her to stand. Once she was upright, she tried walking but needed help. The believers continued their pleas to God and moments later she became stable and for the first time in her life she slowly walked on legs that could hold her weight. Every villager that had come that day accepted Christ immediately and they took their new faith back to their village where they shared God’s miracle.

Matthew 17:20 tells us: For truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.

Adam’s extraordinary faith in God was rewarded. The little girl’s legs were healed and the glory of God was revealed to all those watching.

If your God heals this child, then we will believe He is mighty and can save our souls as well

The Back-Slider in Heart Edited and paraphrased by Keith Green By Charles G. Finney

This is an edited and paraphrased version of the 21st chapter from "Revival Lectures" by Charles Grandison Finney. This message is as much for the Church today as when it was first brought forth in a series of lectures in the 1830s. We earnestly pray that you'll "read it and weep!" I cannot conclude any teaching on revival without warning converts against backsliding. In discussing this subject, I will show: 1) What backsliding in heart is not, 2) What backsliding in heart is, 3) What are the evidences of a backslidden heart, 4) What are the consequences of backsliding in heart, and 5) How to recover.
